For intermediate students who would like to learn more about English-speaking cultures. We will read a handful of English, Irish, American and Commonwealth poems and stories -- some simplified, some not -- and use them as a basis for language games, vocabulary-building exercises and discussions. The two courses can be booked independently of each other.
This course is designed to provide you with a good blend of vocabulary input and conversation practice. We will use a wide range of interesting topics and activities to help you improve your English. You will be encouraged to interact with language by working with texts, audio and video, and we will analyze English constructions and use them in speaking activities. Besides that, the vocabulary will be revisited regularly in order to consolidate classroom learning. At the end of most classes, there will be a feedback session to discuss grammar and pronunciation problems. Do you want to meet your teacher before registering?
